The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) would like to advise you of upcoming bridge load testing activities at the QEW/Cawthra Road interchange, tentatively scheduled between November 2 and November 13, 2026.
The testing is part of MTO’s bridge inspection and structural condition assessment program and is intended to evaluate the existing bridge’s structural response and condition. No construction or rehabilitation work is proposed as part of this testing.
Temporary overnight lane closures and traffic restrictions will be required to safely conduct the testing. Traffic control measures and detour routes will be implemented in accordance with the attached Traffic Management Plan.
