Out of the Vault: Beyond the Shore will be hosted at Adamson Estate featuring various artifacts from across the city.
January 19, 2026
This new exhibition will bring rarely-seen pieces “out of the vault” and into Adamson Estate, such as a wooden baby cradle from 1889 and a WWII-era armourer’s bench from a local munitions plant, among many others.
This edition celebrates the Museums’ new presence at this historic site, spotlighting the stories of Lakeview and Port Credit, while also featuring items from Mississauga’s 11 wards. With plenty of hands-on activities to take part in, children of all ages can have fun exploring local history while learning along the way.
To kick off the exhibit, the community is invited to a family-friendly opening reception on Saturday, January 24 at Adamson Estate, featuring activities and demonstrations from Mississauga Library’s Makerspace. Refreshments will be provided.
