Mississauga’s most anticipated New Year’s Eve celebration returns to Celebration Square, promising an unforgettable night of electric sounds, global talent and dazzling fireworks, presented by Tim Hortons.

Families can take part in the Junior Confetti Countdown which is a fun, colourful moment designed for kids and early birds to celebrate the New Year before bedtime.
As the final countdown concludes, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the night sky, marking the City’s first moments of 2026 with a beautiful celebration of colour.

Parking and road closure information
There will be road closures in Mississauga’s downtown core starting at 7 p.m. on December 31, 2025 until 1 a.m. on January 1, 2026. Areas impacted by these closures are outlined on the event page.
With limited access to available parking downtown, attendees are encouraged to carpool, walk or take MiWay. MiWay will offer free service on New Year’s Eve starting at 7 p.m. on December 31, 2025, until 4 a.m. on January 1, 2026. View bus schedules for more details.
Limited public and accessible parking is available in the Living Arts Centre underground lot.

Fireworks
As per the City’s Fireworks By-law, fireworks are allowed on your private property from dusk on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 until 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026. To use fireworks on a public street or park, you must have a permit from the City.
