Road Closure at Harborn Road and Hurontario Street

Friday May 5 at 7 p.m. to Monday May 8, 2023 at 6 a.m.

What work is taking place?
Construction crews will be installing new watermain and stormwater pipes along Hurontario Street and Harborn Road, resulting in a temporary closure of a portion of Harborn Road. This closure is scheduled to begin May 5, 2023 at 7p.m to May 8, 2023 at 6a.m. Works are scheduled to take place 24 hours a day to ensure work can be completed safely and efficiently. Emergency access will be maintained.
In accordance with City of Mississauga Noise By-Law Exemption requirements, this notice is meant to advise that residents near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.
Please note, work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If you require the most up-to-date information, please reach out to peel@metrolinx.com and our team will provide you with e-updates of this work.

TIMING
• A portion of Harborn will be closed from May 5 at 7p.m., 2023 to May 8, 2023, at 6a.m.
• Works are scheduled to take place 24 hours a day.
• Work could be rescheduled and delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
• Access to Harborn Road will be maintained through a detour from Hurontario Street, The Queensway, Stavebank Road and Premium Way.
• Emergency access will be maintained.
• Watch for slow moving vehicles entering and exiting work areas.
• Remember to reduce your speed when approaching work zones.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
• Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.
• Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, loaders, tri-axles, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.
TRANSIT DETAILS
• MiWay near the intersection will continue to operate with regular service.
• Watch for additional signs directing passengers at bus stop as boarding areas may be located.
• Visit www.miway.ca/updates for updates on your bus route.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• Please take care when travelling near construction areas.
• Watch for additional signs directing pedestrians as detours may be required.
• Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety
