Apply to be an Election worker for Mississauga’s 2026 Municipal Election

The City of Mississauga is hiring Election workers for the 2026 Municipal Election on Monday, October 26. Election workers play an important role in supporting voters and helping deliver a fair and accessible Election.

Positions are paid and located at voting locations across Mississauga.

Who can apply

To work as an Election worker, you must:

* Be at least 16 years old

* Be legally entitled to work in Canada

* Have access to a personal email address that is not shared with anyone else

Available positions

* Deputy Returning Officer – supports voters and issues ballots

* Operator – assists with vote tabulators and voting location set-up

* Information Officer / Greeter – welcomes voters and provides guidance

* Supervising Deputy Returning Officer (mandatory location) – runs voting and assists electors in care settings
