Please note that effective immediately at the direction of Mayor Crombie, flags at the Civic Centre are being flown at half-mast in memory of Peel Regional Police Detective Mike Nielsen, who passed away at his home last night.
Detective Nielsen joined Peel Regional Police in 2007 and was most recently a part of the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, including his wife and two young children.
Flags will remain lowered until further notice.
