BRAMPTON, ON (August 25, 2025) – Peel Region offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2, 2025:
- Service Peel Counters
- ServiceOntario Counter
- Dental Services Contact Centre and Dental Clinics
- Early Years and Child Care Services
- Family Health Call Centre
- Baby Feeding Support Clinics
- Housing Services
- Ontario Works in Peel
- Peel Works Harm Reduction – Mobile Vans
All healthy sexuality clinics are closed on Monday, September 1. Please visit the healthy sexuality clinics webpage for up-to-date information on operating hours.
Adult Day Services
Adult Day Services at all 5 Peel Region Long Term Care Centres, including virtual Adult Day Services, will be closed on Monday, September 1 and will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, September 2.
Waste collection
On Monday, September 1, there will be no waste collection. Waste will be picked up one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders .
All Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Monday, September 1, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2.
Human Services
These services will be closed for the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 1, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2:
- Early Years and Child Care Services, including Child Care Subsidy
- Housing Services
- Ontario Works
Emergency shelter, food, or personal support

TransHelp
All trips for Monday, September 1, and Tuesday, September 2, must be booked by 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 31.
On Monday, September 1 (Labour Day Holiday):
- Call us at 905-791-1015 if you need to cancel your trip.
- Same day trips are not available.
- TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- The TransHelp office will be closed. Feedback and application, and payment processing will resume on Tuesday, September 2.
- Subscription trips will be cancelled, except for dialysis trips.
We offer bookings up to 7 days in advance. Consider booking your next trip early to ensure your holiday travel.
