Middle Road Bridge (end of Sherway Drive) will be closed from mid-September to early December 2021. The project will involve maintenance works including the replacement of bearing plates, concrete and heritage stone repairs and general preservation works.   These works are important as the last maintenance works were completed in 1985.

The Project is a joint project between the City of Mississauga and City of Toronto, with all works being done under heritage permitting.  There will be no visual changes to the structure.

Thank-you for your understanding as we work to maintain and preserve the structure.

Update as of November 22, 2021:

Works are to commence.

The contract has been awarded to Clearwater Construction, and works are to commence by months end.

This will mean a closure of the structure as previously outlined.

Site signs have been updated, on both City of Mississauga and City of Toronto sides.
