Mississauga launches the Get Outside Guide
The Guide features free programs, activities, and destinations to help you make the most of your summer. Use the neighbourhood maps to find bookable picnic areas and outdoor amenities near you. Discover new experiences and plan memorable outings. Save the guide and print it!
Coming soon: seniors ride free on MiWay
Starting Tuesday, July 1, older adults ages 65 and up can ride MiWay for free with a PRESTO card set to the senior fare type. Seniors can set the senior fare type on their PRESTO card by visiting any PRESTO product customer service outlet and showing proof of age.

Sauga Connections for Older Adults
Older adults don’t need to leave their home to make meaningful connections with others or learn a new skill. Sauga Connections for Older Adults is great for those who want to enjoy free virtual programs during weekdays.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Bookmark the Sauga Connections for Older Adults website.
- View the printable calendars.
- Save the date! Make a note on paper or set reminders in your phone for topics or activities that may be of interest.
For best results, please download and configure the Cisco WebEx Meetings application for use on your home computer, tablet or smartphone (iOS or Android). Fitness classes use the Zoom app and can be accessed on the app or your browser.
Visit the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre
Did you know Mississauga has a dedicated Seniors’ Centre? Please contact the centre for updates on available classes and visit the City’s website for more information. Drop-in and registered program information are available at the centre and on Active Mississauga.
Get involved at Mississauga Library!
Celebrate connection, creativity, and lifelong learning with free programs throughout June—featuring wellness workshops, art classes, social hours, and more. Join us at your local library to meet new people, try something new, and be part of your community.

Mississauga residents (older adults and all visitors) receive a five per cent discount off green fees at Lakeview, BraeBen Championship and BraeBen 9-hole Academy courses. Don’t let June go by without playing a few rounds of golf with your family and friends.

65+ Fit membership
This April, Mississauga marked a milestone moment by launching the 65+ Fit membership and over 12,000 residents have signed-up within the last two months!
When participating in programs, remember to keep your health and safety top of mind by consulting with your physician or other qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program, asking for assistance, and to listen to your body and add exercise at a gradual pace.
