MiWay service adjustments effective September 7, 2026

Starting Monday, September 7, MiWay will adjust service on select routes across the network to respond to evolving customer travel patterns and changing demand. MiWay regularly reviews how customers use each route to ensure service reflects demand. As part of this review, existing service resources will be reallocated to areas where they are most needed, with adjustments made on routes where demand has changed.

 

The key changes include:

 

Route 110 University Express update

 

 Route 110 University Express will run more often between City Centre Transit Terminal and Clarkson GO Station. As part of this change, Route 110A University Express will be discontinued, with service merging with Route 110 University Express.

 

The route helps students, commuters and residents travel between downtown Mississauga, University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), the Erin Mills community, and Clarkson GO Station.

 
Aligning service on busy routes 

 

 Existing service resources are being reallocated to areas where demand is strongest:

  • On weekdays during evening periods to Routes 20 Rathburn, 26 Burnhamthorpe and 53 Kennedy, and during peak periods to Routes 107 Malton Express and 108 Financial Express.
  • On weekends during core hours to Routes 3 Bloor, 5 Dixie, 26 Burnhamthorpe, 35 Eglinton, 61 Mavis, 66 McLaughlin, 107 Malton Express and 109 Meadowvale Express.

 

Service will also be adjusted on routes where demand has changed:

  • Route 18 Derry: Weekday peak-period frequency will be reduced. Customers along the corridor can continue to use Routes 42 Derry and 66 McLaughlin.
  • Route 9 Rathburn: Service to Erindale GO Station will be maintained during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours, when demand is highest. During midday and late evening, Route 9 will no longer serve Erindale GO Station.

 
School service resumes Fall school service will resume, with schedules adjusted to updated school bell times. A new Route 305 Streetsville SS will connect Meadowvale Village with Streetsville Secondary School.
Platform and schedule updates  South Common Centre Bus Terminal will have platform changes and select routes will have schedule updates.

 

These adjustments are part of MiWay’s ongoing review of service levels to ensure existing resources remain aligned with customer demand and are used responsibly across the network. Additional Note: Great Outdoors Comedy Festival at Erindale Park (Sept. 11 to 13)

MiWay bus stops #0520 (eastbound) and #1102 (westbound) at the entrance to Erindale Park (Dundas St. at Nanticoke Rd.) will be out of service during the festival. Customers will be advised through City and MiWay communication channels to use nearby alternate stops and allow extra travel time, as increased traffic and lane closures may cause delays on Routes 1 Dundas and 101 Dundas Express.
