Safe City Mississauga Justice Luncheon

By April 8, 2021Events, Ward 1

Dear resident,

We know that having safe communities and a safe city is a significant need and of importance to the public. That’s why Safe City Mississauga strives to create a safe city by providing community leadership for crime prevention through education, research, collaboration, and citizen engagement.  Crime Prevention is a significant part of community safety and well being.

We think this plan can make a difference, because through our current crime prevention services:

  • Neighbours feel safer and more connected as a result of the Neighbourhood Watch program;
  • Youth participants are 70% less likely to engage in acts of crime; and
  • Children are 85% more confident in school and experience an increase of 82% in their self-esteem and social skills.

On April 27th, 2021 we are holding our 10th annual Justice Luncheon virtually. The Justice Luncheon is a fundraising event we hold each year that features a keynote address by the Chief of Peel Regional Police about the successes and challenges of policing in Peel. This year, Chief Nishan Duraiappah will be making his Justice Luncheon debut.

The luncheon was sold out in 2019 and once again promises to be a first-class event. With you by our side at this upcoming event, we’re sure to achieve this season’s fundraising goal and continue contributing to a safe, healthy and thriving community together. I have attached a sponsorship package highlighting the different levels of sponsorship for your review.

If you are interested in coming on board as a sponsor or have any questions, please contact Teresa Burgess-Ogilvie at executivedirector@safecitymississauga.on.ca.
