The team at the Small Arms Inspection Building is committed to providing a quality customer service experience and has made some adjustments based on feedback from users. A new schedule will be implemented in the fall when the facility re-opens.
The implementation of a consistent schedule for public hours to enhance and stimulate regular activity, fosters a more vibrant space that actively supports a reliable schedule for community arts with the proposed schedule below.
To accommodate requests by community groups, Friday through Sunday will be exclusively reserved for event rentals. For example, from October to January, the building will be booked on weekends for a diverse range of events.
After 6pm on weekday evenings, the space will be animated by a mix of City programs and smaller community group rentals. We will be implementing new rental fees for smaller meeting requests where space is available at a significantly reduced cost when they are only using a small portion of the space (ie, a small community group meeting, consistent with our Heritage Hall rental rate).
