What work is taking place? As part of Hurontario Light Rail Transit Project, Alectra infrastructure relocation works have started on the east side of Hurontario Street and Troy Street and will be moving north. To safely complete the relocation, the intersection of Eaglewood Boulevard and Hurontario Street will be closed on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday October 15, 2021.

Road closure and detour signs will be posted to keep residents and businesses informed of this closure. Residential driveways will not be impacted during this work. Side entrances for the plaza and gas station that face Eaglewood Boulevard will be closed during this work, pedestrian access will remain open.

• Eaglewood Boulevard closure will start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday October 12, 2021 and reopen at 9 p.m. on Friday October 15, 2021. Work hours are from 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

• Work could be rescheduled and delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

• Traffic detour signs will be posted in the area during the road closure directing traffic on Mineola Road, Crossfield Bend and Eaglewood Boulevard.

• Only local traffic is permitted through the 20 Mineola East residential complex and all other private roads.

• Watch for slow moving vehicles entering and exiting work areas. • Remember to reduce your speed when approaching construction.

• Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.

• Access to properties will always be maintained through at least one driveway or with the assistance of a Traffic Control Person.

• Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.

• Watch for additional signs directing passengers at bus stops as boarding areas may be relocated.

• Due to lane reductions along Hurontario Street, delays can be expected on MiWay routes.

• Visit www.miway.ca/updates for updates on your bus route.

• Please take care when walking or cycling near construction areas and watch for additional signs directing the public such as detours.

• Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety.

• In 2017, Mississauga City Council approved general exemptions to the Noise Control By-law and selected roadway closures, at the discretion of the Commissioner of Transportation and Works for the duration of Hurontario LRT construction.

• Generally, the exemptions can allow for major construction works to take place from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days per week, and minor activities that generate minimal noise to take place 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

• Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.

• We recognize that we are building transit in a residential area, and that you may have questions or need to get in touch as work progresses.
