Dear Customer:
The Ministry of Transportation is undertaking a highway widening project along Queen Elizabeth Way from Evans Ave to Cawthra Road. Please refer to the key map attached to the back of this letter. This project requires Alectra Utilities to relocate poles and underground cables to accommodate this work. Alectra Utilities will be performing the following construction work:

• Installing 12 new Alectra poles with equipment and hardware, remove 14 poles
• Installing new overhead highway crossing
• Installing new underground ductbank at Insley Road and North Service Road

Alectra Utilities has received the necessary approvals and permits from the Ministry of Transportation and the City of Mississauga to proceed with this work.

Alectra crews will be working primarily on North Service Road, South Service Road, Westfield Drive, Insley Road and Ogden Avenue from Westfield Drive the following surrounding areas North of 2025 Westfield Dr. and South of 1598 Ogden Ave, will be impacted minimally by construction activities.

This project will require major construction along the Municipal Road Allowance to install the new overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment, including 12 poles with equipment and hardware, ductbanks, and underground cables.

Tree trimming will be required to maintain safe clearance from the wires and will be kept to a minimum as allowed for safety and reliability requirements. Additionally, construction vehicles and equipment will be apparent, and while we apologize for any inconvenience noise, dust, and crew presence may cause, we want to reassure the community that Alectra and our contractors adhere to best construction practices ensuring a safe work zone. Majority of construction will occur during the weekday typically between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Furthermore, the entrance to driveways fronting South Service Road and Ogden Avenue may be impacted and every effort to coordinate safe vehicular passage during construction will be made. If you plan to perform any landscaping or driveway improvements, please wait until our work is complete.

Scheduled power interruptions may be required to safely complete our work and every attempt will be made to notify you in advance. If your power will be affected, you will receive notifications by phone or notice on your front door. Please ensure that your primary contact phone number attached to your Alectra Utilities account is current.

Construction is scheduled to begin September 2022 and majority of completion is expected in December 2022. Alectra will finish the relocations once the pedestrian bridge at Ogden Avenue is completed in 2023. Restoration will be performed to reinstate affected surfaces, such as roads, sidewalks and driveways, etc. to original or better condition.
