The Economic Development Office’s Mississauga Business Enterprise Centre (MBEC) recently launched the 2021 Summer Company Program in Mississauga. The Program is intended for Ontario students (15yrs-29yrs) who are interested in starting and operating a new full-time business this summer (May to August). Given COVID-19 and the impact that the pandemic has had on youth employment, this Program offers local youth an alternative – to start a new businesses and create jobs for themselves and others.
Delivered virtually, the Program offers selected participants the opportunity to receive:
- Free business training and skills development
- Mentorship from local business professionals
- An opportunity to receive a grant of up to $3,000 to help them launch and develop their summer business.
MBEC is hosting free Summer Company information webinar sessions, until April. Our next free information session is on February 25, 2021 from 6:00-7:30pm.
The deadline for applications in Mississauga is April 19, 2021.
