Starting September 7, the Port Credit Memorial Arena Pop Up Library will expand its current holds pick-up service to include a small popular collection for adults and children, computer access, photocopying and printing services. It will also offer limited study and seating space.

“The library is an important feature of Port Credit. As part of the City’s ongoing service commitment, expanded library services are now being offered at the Port Credit Memorial Arena as a Pop Up Library,” said Stephen Dasko, Councillor, Ward 1. “I believe that residents’ access to community library services is essential, while the City is considering a longer-term action plan for the library.”

Port Credit Library remains closed at this time due to structural issues. The hours of operation at the pop up location are:

  • Tuesday 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday – closed
  • Monday – closed

“We are working to ensure residents have convenient access to our popular collections and services they rely on most,” said Rona O’Banion, Director, Mississauga Library. “By expanding our holds pick-up service to include collections, computer access, study space and more, we can continue to serve the community while exploring longer-term options for the library.”

All other library locations are currently open to the public.

Mississauga Library also offers a range of ebooks, audiobooks and other online resources for instant borrowing. Customers can use the online library catalogue to search and place a hold on an item for pick up at any of our library locations.
