The City’s stormwater system provides important benefits to all who live and work in Mississauga. Managing this system lessens the risk of flooding, reduces creek erosion and protects water quality. This protects you, your property, aquatic habitats, wildlife and Lake Ontario. Read More

Temporary Overnight Road Closure of Hurontario Street Between Mineola Road and Inglewood Drive
10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday, August 9th to Friday, August 13th, 2021
What work is taking place? To accommodate construction of the Hurontario Light Rail Transit Project, watermain and sewer infrastructure installation works are underway on Hurontario Street between Park Street and Mineola Road.
This work will require a temporary overnight closure of Hurontario Street between Mineola Road and Inglewood Drive from Monday August 9 to Friday August 13 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Work is being done overnight in order to safely install utility services that cross Hurontario Street, while making the least impact to traffic flow. The road will be re-opened each day at 6 a.m. with steel plates safely covering the excavated areas.
Road closure and detour signs will be posted to keep residents and businesses informed of this closure. Local access to businesses/properties, Transit Service (MiWay and GO Transit) and Emergency Services providers will have access maintained throughout the closure.
