Tuesday August 23 to Tuesday August 30, 2022, 24-hour works
What work is taking place?
Construction crews will be installing dry utilities along Hurontario Street that will also need to cross Mineola Road East. This will result in a temporary closure of a portion Mineola Road East from August 23 to August 30, 2022. The works are scheduled to take place 24 hours a day. The roadway will be closed throughout this period and there will be no access for emergency vehicles. Extended construction works from 7am until 10pm are scheduled to take place from August 31 until September 2, 2022, but the two-way traffic will be maintained on Mineola Road East.
These works follow the installation of wet utilities in July. As part of the larger sequencing of the project, the two works could not be combined. The roadway is scheduled for a closure prior to September to reduce impacts on the schools in the area.
In accordance with City of Mississauga Noise By-Law Exemption requirements, this notice is meant to advise that residents near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.
