City of Mississauga Update: Government of Ontario Opens Recreational Amenities Provincewide

Today, the Government of Ontario announced that several outdoor recreational amenities will be permitted to reopen in Mississauga starting May 22, 2021 under the current Stay-at-Home Order.

“I am pleasedto see that the Province is hearing what municipalities have to say regarding lifting restrictions on outdoor recreation,” says Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “Outdoor activity is important from a mental health perspective and with the warmer weather here, we know residents will be accessing these amenities more. I want to thank all Mississauga residents for doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and encourage those who haven’t received their vaccine yet, to do so. This is the best way to help us end the fight and get back on track.”
