From May 23 to 30, Tourism Mississauga and the City of Mississauga are recognizing Tourism Week. The City joins the Tourism Industry Association of Canada in recognizing the resilience and importance of the tourism industry through this unprecedented time and encouraging Mississauga residents to support local tourism businesses across the city and take the 2021 Tourism Pledge to Travel in Canada when restrictions are lifted. City of Mississauga Offers Summer Camps for Children to Get Active Outside

The City of Mississauga is planning to offer a variety of summer day camp programs that include: Summer Fun Camp (4.5 to 12 years old), Outdoor Explorers Camp (8 to 10 years old) and Outdoor Leadership Camp (10 to 12 years old). The City is opening up registration for these summer camps on Tuesday, May 25 at 6 a.m. to Mississauga residents and June 1 to non-residents. Registration for the camps is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents can register directly at ActiveMississauga.ca and if programs are full, the waitlist option can be selected. Temporary Road Closure – Haig Boulevard and Revus Avenue

Alectra Utility is currently working with Metrolinx on the Regional Express Rail (RER)/GO Electrification program. This program impacts the Lakeshore West and Kitchener GO lines through Mississauga, where if there is an existing overhead poleline/conductor crossing, it must be converted to an underground cable crossing, to make room for the overhead Catenary system that Metrolinx is installing to supply future electric trains. Film Notice: Idaho Productions Inc

Please note that the above will be filming interior scenes for a TV series “The Boys” at 1036 Lakeshore Rd E on May 13 and 14. Filming will include fire effects that have been approved by Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.

Production has also been granted permission to park production vehicles from 12pm – 12am and  have crew lunch from 1pm – 9pm at Small Arms Inspection Building (1352 Lakeshore Rd E, Ward 1) on May 13 and 14 each day.
