Road Closure at Harborn Road and Hurontario Street

What work is taking place?
Construction crews will be installing new watermain and stormwater pipes along Hurontario Street and Harborn Road, resulting in a temporary closure of a portion of Harborn Road. This closure is scheduled to begin May 5, 2023 at 7p.m to May 8, 2023 at 6a.m. Works are scheduled to take place 24 hours a day to ensure work can be completed safely and efficiently. Emergency access will be maintained.
In accordance with City of Mississauga Noise By-Law Exemption requirements, this notice is meant to advise that residents near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.
Please note, work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If you require the most up-to-date information, please reach out to peel@metrolinx.com and our team will provide you with e-updates of this work.

TIMING
• A portion of Harborn will be closed from May 5 at 7p.m., 2023 to May 8, 2023, at 6a.m.
• Works are scheduled to take place 24 hours a day.
• Work could be rescheduled and delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
• Access to Harborn Road will be maintained through a detour from Hurontario Street, The Queensway, Stavebank Road and Premium Way.
• Emergency access will be maintained.
• Watch for slow moving vehicles entering and exiting work areas.
• Remember to reduce your speed when approaching work zones.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
• Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.
• Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, loaders, tri-axles, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.
TRANSIT DETAILS
• MiWay near the intersection will continue to operate with regular service.
• Watch for additional signs directing passengers at bus stop as boarding areas may be located.
• Visit www.miway.ca/updates for updates on your bus route.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• Please take care when travelling near construction areas.
• Watch for additional signs directing pedestrians as detours may be required.
• Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety

What work is taking place? As utility upgrades progress in the area, crews will be installing stormwater infrastructure along the west side of Hurontario Street at Mineola Drive West. The working hours will take place on Saturday April 15 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. This will involve the full closure of Mineola on the west side of Hurontario Street to accommodate the storm crossing. Work is being scheduled to minimize traffic and overnight noise impacts to nearby residents.
In accordance with City of Mississauga Noise By-Law Exemption requirements, this notice is meant to advise that residents near the work site can expect to hear noise and vibration caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other construction equipment related to this work.

TRAFFIC DETAILS • Temporary lane reductions will be required on Hurontario Street. • Access to Mineola Road West from Hurontario Street will be available from Indian Valley Trail and Glenburnie Road. • A paid duty police officer will be present during working hours to help control traffic flows at the intersection. • Traffic delays are expected. • Watch for slow moving vehicles entering and exiting work areas. • Remember to reduce your speed when approaching lane reductions.

Significant Restrictions at QEW Closure of Hurontario Street at QEW

What work is taking place?

Starting October 28, 2022, at 10PM, crews will work around the clock for 55 hours to install a large structure, also known as the Push Box, that will form a new and additional underpass at the QEW highway along Hurontario Street to support the future LRT. This work will be continuous and is scheduled to be completed at 5AM on October 31, 2022, at which point the QEW, and Hurontario Street will be reopened for normal operations. Message from Metrolinx: Overnight Watermain Work on Hurontario Street, north of Inglewood Drive

Overnight Watermain Works on Hurontario at Inglewood

WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Construction crews will be installing watermain infrastructure along Hurontario Street, just north of Inglewood Drive, that will also need to cross the north driveway entrance to Cousins Market. This will result in a temporary closure of the north driveway entrance. In order to complete this work safely, and to minimize the impacts to the local businesses, works are scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on October 13 and 14, 2022.
