The City of Mississauga is launching its annual Integrated Pest Management program to help reduce the number of gypsy moth caterpillars in Mississauga. This invasive insect causes tree destruction by feeding on the leaves of oak and other deciduous trees. Today, the Government of Ontario extended the Stay-at-Home Order until at least June 2, 2021. The Stay-at-Home Order requires everyone to remain at home except for essential reasons, such as grocery shopping, going to the pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), outdoor exercise or for work that cannot be done remotely. Coyote Decoys on the Marina Docks

Plastic coyote decoys have been installed on the marina docks at Credit Village Marina and Lakefront Promenade Public Marina, as seen in the picture below.

These decoys have been installed to help keep the marina docks clean, as it deters waterfowl away.

Signage will be posted at the marinas to inform residents of the coyote decoys.

Please do not feed wild animals, including the water fowl, as it can disrupt their natural rhythm.

Lakeshore East Corridor Study Community Virtual Meeting – May 11th, 2021

Emerald Ash Borer Tree Removals – Lakeview Golf Course

Miller Tree service will be starting on Monday May 10th, 2021 at 7:00am weather permitting and that the golf course remains closed. Miller Tree service will be removing only infested ash trees. The ash trees have been identified by a certified arborist to be removed as they are in decline or dead. The ash trees have been infested by Emerald ash borer.

The work should take two weeks, weather permitting and that the golf course remains closed. If the golf course is allowed to reopen we will continue the work in the fall and winter.
