Join us for an Update Meeting on Port Credit Harbour West Parks Project
The City of Mississauga is progressing with the proposed plans to transform the west bank of Port Credit Harbour into a vibrant and functional waterfront destination. Building on the recommendations from the 2008 Waterfront Parks Strategy and the Strategy Refresh in 2019, the goal for this project is to meet the various waterfront needs of residents, visitors and businesses while maintaining Port Credit’s cultural heritage.
The project will transform two priority parks identified under the Waterfront Parks Strategy – Port Credit Memorial Park (west) and Marina Park. The project area also includes the Lakeshore Road bridge underpass connection and the Rivergate easement.
Plans for the waterfront space focus on creating a distinctive destination with programmable multi-use space, open green space, a continuous water’s edge promenade, naturalization and landscape. Improvements to the space will also be made to support the working port – an important piece of Port Credit’s history.
Residents are invited to attend a project update meeting on Tuesday, March 3, where they’ll have the opportunity to hear from Dillon Consulting Ltd., view the project plans, ask questions and provide their feedback.
