Today, the Government of Ontario extended the Stay-at-Home Order until at least June 2, 2021. The Stay-at-Home Order requires everyone to remain at home except for essential reasons, such as grocery shopping, going to the pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), outdoor exercise or for work that cannot be done remotely. In-home vaccine appointments for Homebound Adults

The Region of Peel is offering in-home vaccine appointments for those who cannot physically leave their home to receive the vaccine. This could be due to medical, social, or other cognitive reasons.

Adults who require this type of appointment do not need to use the provincial booking system. They are required to fill out a form on the Region of Peel’s website. Once received, Peel Public Health will confirm your appointment time. Read More

Film Notice: Idaho Productions Inc

Please note that the above will be filming interior scenes for a TV series “The Boys” at 1036 Lakeshore Rd E on May 13 and 14. Filming will include fire effects that have been approved by Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.

Production has also been granted permission to park production vehicles from 12pm – 12am and  have crew lunch from 1pm – 9pm at Small Arms Inspection Building (1352 Lakeshore Rd E, Ward 1) on May 13 and 14 each day.

 

Lakeshore west service change May 21

To facilitate important track work on the Lakeshore West GO Line, there will be service changes during the weekend of May 21-24, 2021. These upgrades will improve train speeds, service life and reliability, allowing us to provide better service to our customers in the future. We are encouraging customers to check train departure and arrival times online as trains may experience delays due to the schedule changes required to accommodate this work.

Coyote Decoys on the Marina Docks

Plastic coyote decoys have been installed on the marina docks at Credit Village Marina and Lakefront Promenade Public Marina, as seen in the picture below.

These decoys have been installed to help keep the marina docks clean, as it deters waterfowl away.

Signage will be posted at the marinas to inform residents of the coyote decoys.

Please do not feed wild animals, including the water fowl, as it can disrupt their natural rhythm.

Please be advised that the above will be filming exterior traveling scenes for a TV movie “Kingswood”.

A traveling grid permit has been issued for scenes involving a picture vehicle traveling on various City of Mississauga roadways (excluding Regional roadways) between May 25 and September 29, between the hours of 7:00am-11:00pm. Actual days of filming will be dependent on the progress of the production.
