Join Councillor Stephen Dasko and local Residents for a virtual community workshop on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 OR Wednesday, May 5 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM to explore in 3D, possible built form, height and density scenarios along the Lakeshore East Corridor in the Lakeview area. COUNCILLOR DASKO’S MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY

April 22, 2021 — At today’s Region of Peel Council meeting, Councillor Stephen Dasko, put forward a motion for Council’s consideration that all the entire Region of Peel be considered a COVID-19 hotspot. Councillor Dasko was pleased that this was passed unanimously at Regional Council. 

“We are asking that Peel, as a whole community, be considered a high risk community. We need consistency across the Region and are hopeful that the Ministry will grant that consideration” said Councillor Dasko.

 

That the Regional Chair write a letter to the Premier of Ontario and the Ontario Minister of Health, on behalf of Regional Council, requesting that the provincial government designate the entire Region of Peel as a COVID-19 hot spot.

Construction Season Begins in Mississauga to Keep Residents and Businesses Safe

Mississauga residents and commuters to the city can expect to see the City of Mississauga’s budget dollars hard at work as the City moves forward with its 2021 construction season and an investment of more than $76 million into Mississauga’s transportation and stormwater infrastructure. Construction projects within the City’s Roads and Stormwater Capital Programs involve repair and maintenance of critical infrastructure that helps keep all road users moving safely and manage stormwater to reduce the risk of flooding. This includes road resurfacing, sidewalk and multi-use trail construction, bridge repairs, creek and erosion control work and construction of new stormwater management facilities. Read More

Mississauga Provincial Offences Court is Rescheduling In-person Screening & Hearing Appointments

The City of Mississauga is asking residents not attend any in-person screening or hearing appointments booked at the Mississauga Provincial Offences Court. Due to the revised Stay-at-Home Order issued by the Government of Ontario, all in-person screening and hearing appointments (parking, pet, business and mobile licensing matters) scheduled from Monday, May 3 to Monday May 31, 2021 will be rescheduled. City Honours COVID Heroes through Virtual Ceremony

Today, Mississauga City Council honoured the City’s COVID Heroes, a group of individuals, businesses and organizations that have contributed to the community in a fundamental way during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominations opened in February for the program, which focused on recognizing those living and working in Mississauga that made life a little brighter for their neighbours since the start of the global pandemic.
