Join Councillor Stephen Dasko and local Residents for a virtual community workshop on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 OR Wednesday, May 5, 2021 OR Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM to explore in 3D, possible built form, height and density scenarios along the Lakeshore East Corridor in the Lakeview area. The virtual workshops will include a presentation and an opportunity for public feedback.  All workshops will be identical in format and content.

The City’s Climate Change Youth Summit Celebrates Achievements by Students

The City of Mississauga is celebrating the achievements of students who have completed the City’s Climate Change Youth Challenge, Mission to Earth. The City will be hosting an online Youth Summit celebration on Thursday, May 6, 2021, during National Youth Week. The summit will include a keynote address from Kehkashan Basu, a Canadian youth and environmental and human rights activist as well as a special video message from Canadian Olympian, Hayley Wickenheiser. It will also include a careers panel, featuring four sustainability leaders who will explore various career paths in climate change action and environmental sustainability. Mississauga youth are invited to celebrate arts, environment, literacy and recreation online during National Youth Week from Saturday, May 1 to Friday, May 7, 2021. National Youth Week encourages youth to get involved and make a difference within their community through music, film, the arts and culture.
