Alectra Utility is currently working with Metrolinx on the Regional Express Rail (RER)/GO Electrification program. The City of Mississauga is launching its annual Integrated Pest Management program to help reduce the number of gypsy moth caterpillars in Mississauga. This invasive insect causes tree destruction by feeding on the leaves of oak and other deciduous trees. After repeated defoliation, trees may die or become so weakened that they are vulnerable to secondary infestations. Read More

Today, the Government of Ontario extended the Stay-at-Home Order until at least June 2, 2021. The Stay-at-Home Order requires everyone to remain at home except for essential reasons, such as grocery shopping, going to the pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), outdoor exercise or for work that cannot be done remotely.
