EAGLEWOOD BOULEVARD AT HURONTARIO STREET —TEMPORARY CLOSURE NOTICE—

Please be advised that Eaglewood Boulevard will be temporarily closed at Hurontario Street for the purpose of completing the installation of underground ductwork.  This work is required to accommodate the construction of the Hurontario Light Rail Transit (HuLRT) line.

The closure will start on Tuesday October 12 at 9:00 am and is anticipated to be completed and Eaglewood Boulevard being re-opened to traffic by Friday October 15th at 9:00 pm.  A detour route will be provided to assist motorists in navigating around the closure.  The attached notice has been delivered by Canada Post.  Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be installed this week to advise motorists of the pending closure.

When:  Eaglewood Boulevard will be closed from Tuesday October 12th at 9:00 am until Friday October 15th at 9 pm.

Where:  Eaglewood Boulevard at Hurontario Street.

 Why:      For the purpose of installing underground electrical duct work.

Peel 2051 is the Region’s Official Plan Review and Municipal Comprehensive Review (MCR), which will help us better plan for the future by taking action on new population and employment forecasts, responding to public and stakeholder feedback, and complying with new provincial legislation, plans, and policies.

2021 CRIME PREVENTION CONFERENCE

Established in 2010, the Crime Prevention Conference is an annual event presented by Safe City Mississauga. The conference gathers together members of the community, government officials, educators, law enforcement, social workers, crime prevention practitioners, community organizations, and students to discuss best practices for crime prevention, and to determine how to implement these practices to make our communities safer.

The 10th annual Crime Prevention Conference will take place virtually on November 2nd, 2021 at 1:00-4:00pm.

WATERMAIN VALVE CHAMBER AND APPURTENANCE REPLACEMENT ADJACENT TO 1316 MINEOLA GARDENS AND 391 REVUS AVE,

What are we doing?
• Replacing and improving two existing valve chambers including the replacement of the
existing valves and appurtenances at the locations shown on the attached map.

Why?
• To upgrade and replace two existing valves on the local water system in preparation of the
Hurontario LRT watermain works.

When?
• We expect to start work on or about October 4th, 2021 starting adjacent to 391 Revus
Avenue. Works adjacent to 1316 Mineola Gardens will start early November.
• The project should be completed by November 30th, 2021. All work is under warranty for
two years from the completion date.
• We will start restoring any damaged areas including boulevards, sidewalks, curbs, and roads
after both chamber installations are complete, and as weather permits.

MiWay Service Changes

MiWay will be implementing service changes on October 4 – ahead of the planned service changes on October 25 – to ensure that our on-street service continues to adapt and respond to customer needs and evolving travel patterns.

As students returned to in-person learning and traffic volumes increased in September, MiWay remains committed to monitoring ridership levels across the transit network.

The following service changes will launch on Monday, October 4, 2021:

  1. Adding more service where demand has increased
    Trips have been added on the following routes in response to growing demand on routes serving Mississauga secondary schools:
  • 2 Hurontario (serving Port Credit Secondary School)
  • 3 Bloor (serving Applewood Heights Secondary School)
  • 8 Cawthra (serving Cawthra Park Secondary School)

—TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE—

Please be advised that Park Street East between Ann Street and Helene Street North will be closed.

When: Monday, October 4th, 2021 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Where:  Park Street East between Ann Street and Helene Street North.

 Why:  Mobile crane will be staged on Park Street East in order to hoist struts to the new development at 28 Ann Street.
