1041 and 1407 Lakeshore Road East

1407 Lakeshore Developments Inc is the property owner of 1041 and 1407 Lakeshore Road East. Separate Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning applications have been submitted to the City for each property proposing:

  • 1041 Lakeshore Road East – proposing a 10 storey apartment building with 166 units and ground floor commercial space.
  • 1407 Lakeshore Road East – proposing a 9 storey apartment building with 84 units and ground floor commercial space.

This meeting is being held for the property owner to present the development plans to the community and to hear questions and feedback from the residents.

In November of 2021, the City of Mississauga approved the Lakeview Village development.  While technical work will continue over the next year regarding the engineering and servicing of the land, Lakeview Community Partners Limited has submitted site plans for four (4 ) of the blocks which will form part of the initial phase of development.  The site plans illustrate the concepts for the residential buildings proposed on these blocks.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we are not able to have an in-person meeting. Therefore, we have arranged a Community Virtual Meeting on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you wish to attend and participate in the discussions, please click the following link to join:

Neighbourhood Watch – Safe City Mississauga

What is Neighbourhood Watch?

Neighbourhood Watch is an organized group of neighbours looking out for one another, and each other’s property. The no-cost program focuses on neighbourhood transparency, and encourages residents to be aware of crime and suspicious activity that may be happening around them. In a Neighbourhood Watch, the objective is that incidents are reported, not only to police, but also (anonymously) with your neighbours. By participating in the Watch, everyone is alert and working together to maintain safety in their neighbourhood. While the program has been shown to reduce criminal activity, one of the greatest benefits is that it brings people closer together, into a stronger community.

Safe City Mississauga helps to facilitate this process! The Mississauga Neighbourhood Watch program remains one of the largest crime prevention programs in partnership with, and delivered alongside, the Peel Regional Police.

What’s included?

  • Set-Up Meeting – Conducted by Safe City Mississauga with invitations to Peel Regional Police and your local Councillor
  • An evidence-based crime prevention audit of your neighbourhood – Utilizing CPTED principles, the audit will observe environmental opportunities that are inviting to criminals
  • Neighbourhood Watch Signage – a deterrent to would-be offenders that indicates your Watch is active, and people have their eyes on the street
  • Email notifications – about local crime and suspicious activity occurrences
  • Monthly Bulletins – created by Safe City Mississauga
  • Closer relationship with neighbours – The program encourages and supports neighbourhood social events such as potlucks, BBQs, or coffee night outs
  • Access to Resources – including crime prevention information, contacts, and safety
