The Economic Development Office’s Mississauga Business Enterprise Centre (MBEC) recently launched the 2021 Summer Company Program in Mississauga. The Program is intended for Ontario students (15yrs-29yrs) who are interested in starting and operating a new full-time business this summer (May to August). Given COVID-19 and the impact that the pandemic has had on youth employment, this Program offers local youth an alternative – to start a new businesses and create jobs for themselves and others. On Tuesday, February 16, MiWay will restore school bus route services as schools reopen in Peel Region. Service on nine 300-series school routes will resume and additional supplementary trips will be added to other local routes that serve high schools in Mississauga. Read More
We are pleased to announce the Rehabilitation of Dixie Road & CNR Structure at CNR bridge (north of Lakeshore):
- Stage 1: East side rehabilitation of Dixie Road will start this spring 2021 through to late summer 2021. This work will include the sidewalk, repair of the underground water drainage, temporary asphalt pavement and line markings.
- Following stage 1, Alectra Utilities will relocate the existing aerial wires on the west right-of-way into new underground ducts, under the west side of the roadway. This is tentatively scheduled for completion by early fall 2021.
- Stage 2: West side rehabilitation of Dixie Road starts in the fall 2021 through to summer 2022. This work will include the sidewalk, and final asphalt pavement on both sides of Dixie Road with permanent line markings.
