Film Notice: Impossible Studios

Please be advised that the above will be filming interior and exterior scenes for an Onlia Insurance commercial at 1294 Lakebreeze Dr (Ward 1) on March 16th, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM. Prep will be conducted on March 15th, 9am-5pm.

A permit has been granted to allow parking on the following:

  • One (west) side of Lakebreeze Dr (between Mineola Rd E & Angelene St), limited to cube vans or smaller

A camera is permitted on the roadway as long as two-way traffic/pedestrian access is maintained at all times.

Bus Stop Impact – North Service Road

Please be advised that stop #0412 on WB North Service Road at Insley Road will be out of service effective immediately for approximately 4 months for demolition and replacement works on the pedestrian bridge over the QEW.

Patrons will be directed to a temporary stop 188 metres west at Westfield Drive on the northwest corner.

Stop #0412 is serviced by Route 4W with continued accessible bus service at the temporary stop.

Please be advised that Cormack Crescent will be permanently closed as part of the Queen Elizabeth Way improvement from east of Cawthra Road to west of Etobicoke Creek project. Please note that a temporary roadway has been implemented in order to provide access to into Cormack properties (i.e. Star Academy School)

Dixie Outlet Mall Policy Review – Virtual Community Meeting

The City is reviewing the Dixie Outlet Mall site to help guide future redevelopment. The review will focus on the elements needed to create a complete community such as new roads, pedestrian connections, housing, parks, shopping and transit.

You are invited to a virtual community meeting on Tuesday, March 28, from 6 – 7:30pm to learn more and ask questions.  After an overview presentation from City staff, you’ll have an opportunity to share your thoughts on priorities for the site and give input on:

  • Urban design
  • Transportation and connections
  • Housing and other uses

Public input is an important part of the process and we look forward to your feedback.

OGDEN PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) Improvements from East of Cawthra Rd to West of Etobicoke Creek

 

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is undertaking improvements of the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) from east of Cawthra Road to West of Etobicoke Creek. The project limits are in the City of Mississauga and Region of Peel. MTO has awarded the construction contract to AIMCO INFRASTRUCTURE. Construction commenced in May 2022 and will continue for five construction years, with an anticipated completion in July 2026. Part of the construction includes the replacement of the Ogden Avenue Pedestrian Bridge as indicated on the map below. Read More
