Discover Disc Golf in Mississauga

By Parks, Resources, Stephen’s Initiatives, Ward 1

Disc golf is a fun and engaging sport that invites players to throw discs into specially designed baskets, aiming to complete the course in the fewest throws possible. Whether you’re playing solo or in a group, this accessible sport offers a great way to enjoy the outdoors all year round. Disc golf courses are available at Dellwood Park, Spruce Park, Shawnmarr Park and Lake Aquitaine Park.

Residents are encouraged to borrow disc golf kits from the Library of Things collection at Lakeview Library and visit the courses at nearby Dellwood Park and Spruce Park. The disc golf courses are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Notice: Toronto Pearson Emergency Exercise – May 24–25, 2025

By Announcement, Stephen’s Initiatives

Toronto Pearson will be conducting its annual full-scale emergency exercise beginning the evening of Saturday, May 24, 2025, continuing into the early morning hours of Sunday, May 25.

This Transport Canada–mandated exercise is an essential component of our emergency preparedness program and has been conducted annually for more than 30 years. The exercise is designed to test and strengthen emergency response capabilities across the airport community and involves coordination among airport staff, first responders, airline partners, and nearly 200 volunteers.

The exercise will begin at approximately 11:00 p.m. on May 24. It is deliberately scheduled during overnight hours to minimize disruption to regular airport operations. Passengers and flight activity will not be impacted, and operations will continue as normal throughout the event.

Please note: travellers and members of the public may observe an increased presence of emergency responders at the airport during this time. This is part of the exercise and not an actual emergency.

Our media team will post updates on our X channel – @TorontoPearson – including details on when the exercise begins and when it concludes. We encourage you to check our social media for real-time updates.
